Our AGM is at 7pm on Friday 28th June.
There are some formal bits and voting that we NEED to have people there for, but we're also going to talk through what the Group has been up to this year and our plans for next year which is a big one given it's our 100 year birthday in 2024! So please come down and support the group and hear what everyone's going to be doing this year. Hopefully we will also have some awards to give out to our section members!
Three more really important points:
The Trustee Board is a vital and mandatory part of the Group being able to operate. It can sound a bit odd but it's a very similar setup to the board of governors for a school. It's a great way of getting a bit more involved and helping Scouts continue doing everything we do and it really doesn't take much of your time. If you'd like to get involved then please please let us know over the next week.
Our fantastic Secretary is stepping down meaning we have a vacancy in the team. The role is primarily supporting the Trustee and Management meetings (logistics, prep, minutes etc). If you think you could help then again, get in touch and we can talk it through.
Centenary BBQ is on the evening of July 25th! Make sure you put it in the diary, and we look forward to seeing you there
If you want to chat about how you can support us or any volunteering role, please feel free to get in touch!
Kind Regards,
David Green (Chair) & Paul Wheway (Group Lead Volunteer)
